Notas do quarto 

Stillness não é exatamente um disco da quarentena, já que nenhuma música foi composta nesse período. Estas 5 canções já tinham sido escritas antes do terceiro disco do Fish Magic (“Just a light away”) ser lançado. Elas tinham essa linguagem mais acústica, folk, country, e por conta disso não encaixavam ali. Elas seriam agrupadas mais adiante em outro formato.

O Regis Damasceno (Cidadão Instigado, Mr. Spaceman) e eu até tivemos a ideia de montar um projeto paralelo com o Andre Travassos do Moons e lançar algo conjunto nessa linha. Com a pandemia, essa ideia ficou mais distante…

Neste período de isolamento, o Regis começou a trabalhar no disco novo do Mr. Spaceman e me chamou para escrever várias letras. Isso me motivou a trabalhar também no que seria o meu EP folk.

E aqui estamos.

Apesar de não ter sido composto agora, sinto que as músicas se conectam muito bem com o que estamos vivendo. Poderiam perfeitamente terem sido escritas nesse período muito doloroso.

Pessoalmente, perdi um dos meus melhores amigos para o câncer em abril e, mais recentemente, nossa cachorra faleceu. Porém, não queria que o disco tivesse essa aura sofrida. Queria que ele fosse sereno, apesar das dores. O lírio partido na capa talvez represente essa dualidade.

O disco tem as participações muito especiais do Regis e do Andre, até para manter viva a ideia do nosso projeto.

Entreguei as músicas para o Clayton Martin (Cidadão Instigado) mixar e masterizar, o que ele fez lindamente. Espero que essas músicas tragam algum tipo de conforto para quem as ouvir, assim como trouxeram para mim.
