Em Março 2020, no início da crise do Covid-19, Rafael Genu (baixista da Pelvs), morando com a família em Milão, Itália, teve a ideia de regravar "True Love Will Find You in the End" do Daniel Johnston com amigos.

Convocou vários, alguns enviaram suas versões, outros tantos tentaram. A ideia inicial era apenas um vídeo. Mas as versões solo de cada participante ficaram tão legais, que a o midsummer madness resolveu transformar as faixas num EP.

A primeira versão traz todas as faixas mixadas da melhor maneira possível. Como a intenção eram gravações rápidas e caseiras, voz e violão chegaram na maioria das vezes, juntas.

As outras versões são as faixas "solo" de cada um dos participantes. A única faixa solo que não entrou foi a base que o Rafael Genu tocou e enviou para o Marcelo Colares. Então, aquilo que você ouve no fundo dos trechos em que o Colares canta na versão "junto e misturado" é o Genu.

As versões do Cigarettes e do Early Morning Sky que estão no EP tiveram um trato final no áudio feito pelos próprios músicos e, no caso do Cigarettes, com auxílio luxuoso de Pandit Pam Pam.

March 2020, Milan, Italy - on the rise of Covid-19 pandemic, Rafael Genu (Pelvs' bass player) decided to record Daniel Johnston's "True Love Will Find You in the End" with friends, from distance.

He called many, some were able to send their versions, others tried. The initial idea was only to assemble a video but all versions were so heartful that we decided that it could be an EP.

The first song is everybody's tracks mixed the best way possible (home-recorded with one channel to vocals and instruments hardly go together).

All other tracks are "solo" without overdubs, mixing or mastering. The only "solo" track not featured is Rafael's version because it was just a guiding track to The Cigarettes' version.

The Cigarettes and Early Morning Sky versions had some mastering by the artists themselves, and Cigarettes version had key and effects mixed by Pandit Pam Pam.

All $$ will go to Grupo GAS, a Brazilian Institute that works with homeless people in São Paulo:
